I used to love putting my hair in hot rollers for those Victoria’s Secret soft waves. When we moved to Canada, I majorly decluttered and decided to give away my hot roller set, instead of taking it with me to London. It’s just too big and bulky. I do though, sometimes miss the waves I would get from the hot rollers, so I decided to invent my own “hot roller” method of waving hair. Basically, I just use my curling iron on the lowest setting to curl my hair and then I set it in clips (watch my tutorial for step by step description and before and after).
The result: almost identical waves I would get form my hot roller set. For volume, length and highlights I’m wearing my Ombre Blonde 220g set in this video. I’m not wearing the full set, just the largest 6 wefts, which is already a lot of hair for me, as my hair is medium-thick.
If you prefer a no heat method then velcro hair rollers can also do the trick. This Velcro Hair Roller Set features different sized rollers that can give you luscious curls while giving you a bit of a ‘lift’ at the root if you your hair is looking limp.
I’d love to see your recreations, so please make sure to tag your photos on Instagram with #myluxyhair.
