Some beauty collaborations are cheesier than others. I mean, did we really need a Tonymoly x Minions skin-care collection? (Actually, yes.) But outside of cartoonish and corny collabs, some are literally cheesier than others. Behold: Nails Inc. x Velveeta.
Whether Velveeta was a staple at your childhood kitchen table (or your adulthood kitchen table) or it was something you only got to eat when you went to a friend’s house for dinner (that would be me), there’s a deliciously nostalgic lure about Velveeta. Although it’s technically not real cheese, the dairy-based product more or less defined how we want the cheese part of our mac and cheese to taste. And now, it has the opportunity to shape how we want our manicures to look and smell.

Nails Inc is launching a “creamy smooth” nail polish duo called That’s La Dolce Velveeta ($15), which truly captures the essence of the equally creamy-smooth topping. The shade La Dolce Velveeta is the unmistakable orange-leaning yellow of Velveeta, while Finger Food is a red hue not unlike the brand’s logo. Both mind-blowingly smell like cheese, because of course. (Don’t worry, vegan friends — the polish is not made with real cheese, or any animal byproducts, for that matter.)
Also part of the collection is a sheet of Irresistible Nail Stickers ($5). In it are multiple stickers of pasta shells, a gooey dripping graphic, and the words “drip” and “cream” in shades of gold, yellow, and red.
Believe me when I say I had to check my calendar to make sure this wasn’t an April Fool’s joke. After all, in late March 2021, Velveeta claimed to be launching a skin-care line, V by Velveeta. Needless to say, that was a prank. Nails Inc x Velveeta is the real deal, though, and you can snag the collection on Amazon and the Nails Inc website starting June 7.
