Hi, Allure.
My name is Yasmeen Fletcher and this
is my 10 minute beauty routine.
[clock ticks]
So first and foremost, I’m gonna start
with the Herbivore Emerald Oil, which is basically just
a moisturizer that I like to put on before makeup
because it like makes your skin look a little bit dewier.
I’m just gonna give it a little squeeze
and just one dot on each.
And let it drip. It’s fine. [laughs]
And just rub that in.
[clock ticks]
So then, after that, I take my little tinted moisturizer,
50 SPF, ’cause we’re not trying to get sunburned.
I like to use this instead of foundation.
It’s just a little bit lighter and it’s safer for your skin.
[clock ticks]
I’m just gonna pat this down just a little bit
to take any excess oil away.
Next, I like to do my concealer
and a tip that I learned very recently
from a makeup artist that did my makeup, named Mai,
she told me to mix two concealers just
to get that perfect match and I didn’t have to do that,
she found it for me, so I got lucky.
But this is the Chanel concealer.
So just gonna dab this under my eye.
[clock ticks]
Makeup artists everywhere are so mad at me
for my execution of this.
It’s fine. [laughs]
Another tip that I learned is to use your fingers
to blend it in just because the oil, you know,
really mixes it in and sets it well.
So I just dab it a little bit.
Get above the eye a little bit.
Takes a second. You really gotta get in there.
So I’m just blending it on top as well.
Hopefully when you do this, you don’t have acrylic nails
so that you can actually get into all the corners.
We’ll do our best with the situation we’ve been given.
Okay, so next I really like to just do a little bit
of a smokey eye type of wing.
Precise wings are really difficult
and I don’t like to do that every day
and it takes a lot of time
and this is the Mary Kay eyeliner.
I got it from my grandma. [laughs]
Just a little bit of a smudge from the corner of your eye
in the direction that you wanna go
and make sure that it’s dark
’cause you’re gonna have to blend it out.
Doesn’t have to be perfect at all.
And try to get it on the top of the lid as well,
just to blend it that way.
It took a really long time for me
to perfect the wing look that I wanted.
It really helped because the last character I played,
Nakia in Ms. Marvel, wore a wing every day,
so I got to watch them do it for me
and after probably six, seven long months
of them doing it for me, I kind of figured it out myself.
So again, it’s okay if it’s not perfect,
it’s just, you know, something small.
And then try the other side.
I’m pretty sure that’s even.
I’m not sure, but we’re gonna go with it
’cause it’s okay.
It’s just an everyday, throw-it-on type of look.
So after this, I like to curl my eyelashes
and then put on a little bit of mascara.
This is the Younique Moodstruck Epic 4D,
which I absolutely love.
It’s been my favorite so far.
So just…
Then I’m just gonna go in
and do a little bit of a mascara moment.
I’m really trying to get from the bottom of the root
of the eyelash all the way up.
[clock ticks]
This has the been the smoothest mascara that I’ve found
and the one that lengthens my lashes the most thus far.
And I’ve tried a lot of them.
Obviously I’m blinking with it to help me out
because I’m lazy, but you can just brush it up.
Make it a little bit smoother than it was before.
You have to just do a little like that.
Have a napkin on hand. I always do.
So after that, I’ll go in with my blush.
I don’t like to put too much on every day,
so it’s basically just a mascara,
eyelash curl, concealer type of thing.
So we’re really getting towards the end here.
This is Glossier Cloud Paint.
I really like it.
It goes on really thick,
but as soon as you’re done blending it out,
it thins out and it’s really even.
I just follow my cheekbone a little bit.
I actually go up to my my temples
and I’ll blend it that way.
[clock ticks]
So I just use just my middle finger
and just blend upwards like this.
You can go to your cheek and then just blend upwards.
Smile with it, if it helps.
And I also like to use the excess to just go
over the bridge of my nose
’cause I think it looks really cute, like a little sunburn.
And do the same to the other side.
This is also kind of a process of trial and error,
so sometimes you gotta add a little bit more.
But just following that upwards.
So my cheeks get really red when I rub them,
so it looks like there’s more and then it’ll calm down.
[clock ticks]
I think that the little freckles or moles
on people’s faces is really adorable,
so I like to enhance those by just using, actually,
a brow pencil.
This one’s from Anastasia and it’s an auburn color.
But I’ll just actually go over moles, freckles,
beauty marks, whatever you like to call them
and just do a little dot and enhance them a little bit.
I think a lot of makeup covers it normally
and I don’t wanna do that.
Got a decent amount on my face, so just bear with me.
And just blending those out just a little bit
to make them seem a little bit more natural.
And [bell dings]
that is about it.
This is your going out for the day really quickly,
throw-it-on type of look.
Well, thank you so much for having me, Allure.
This was my very best, trying my best,
10 minute beauty routine.
