Get ready to understand how polyglutamic acid, cysteamine hydrochloride, malic acid, and — wait for it — nicotiana benthamiana hexapeptide-40 sh-oligopeptide-1, power up the latest product innovations from the likes of Versed, Zeyl Beauty, and Urban Skin Rx. 

Fruit is also in-season with this month’s newest skin-care offerings. Ustawi will introduce your skin to an African superfruit called baobab fruit in moisturizer form, while açaí appears in Mario Badescu‘s new lip mask. Kalahari melon and lime, on the other hand, command Eadem‘s cleansing balm, and Glow Recipe is back with a delicious, new watermelon-infused overnight treatment. 

Of course, classic, tried-and-true skin-care ingredients, such as vitamin C, niacinamide, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid, show up and show out in August’s skin-care launches, too. However, you can expect them in unexpected delivery systems, like a serum spray from Iris & Romeo and needless microneedling tool by FaceGym, and a masquerade-like eye mask from the K-beauty brand Lapcos.
