Maxie J has so much to celebrate and each year she tops herself! Recently chitting a $400,000 month milestone, her Los Angeles based brand Ellaé Lisqué is now a multi-million dollar enterprise! Hailing from Inglewood, California, the notable fashion designer is best known for being a self-made entrepreneur, co-owner of her very own manufacturing company, and a notable speaker who is set to launch a new masterclass, “Fashionaire Academy” dedicated to guiding future fashion designers. Using her influence to motivate her dedicated social media following, she always reminds us she was just “a girl from Inglewood who decided to follow her dreams.” And as Inglewood natives, who are dedicated to supporting business women of color, we at Hype Hair are here for it!
Fashion Designer and clothing brand developer Maxie J. has taken it upon herself to build Ellaé Lisqué, a business venture which is inclusive, resourceful, and all about women! Her inclusive business model boasts a team of young and exuberant women of color. Her work and consistent hustle have elevated her brand and created notable opportunities for her noticed by celebrities and designers alike. This dress went on to become a best-seller seen on Basketball Wives’ Malaysia Pargo and beautiful woman all across the Instagram platform as the IT dress of choice when it was time to dress women in every size who were ready to hit the town for a night of champagne & good black girl magic vibes.
Believe it or not, she was motivated to start her empire from a Steve Harvey video
that spoke about things you’re good at vs. your passion. She knew she liked styling people and started to focus on fashion. She used Google and Youtube and is self taught in designing, manufacturing, and marketing. Maxie J is now ready and even more excited to pay it forward and teach the next generation of fashion designers through her upcoming “Fashionaire Academy” Master Class and “Fashionaire Success Guide.” She is the true definition of “style & grace,” and a perfect example that prayer, commitment, and humility will get you very far if you actually believe in yourself enough to make it happen no matter what life throws in your direction.
