Our favorite Hot Girl has been living it up in Tokyo lately. Megan Thee Stallion traveled across the Pacific to perform at the Summer Sonic Festival, and, of course, she brought her A game in the rapping and styling departments. We know the crowd went wild once she stepped on stage on August 20 because we were fangirling hard from our beds once we saw what she performed in: a Sailor Moon costume.
If you’re Hottie, you should know by now that Meg is obsessed with anime, so it’s not too shocking to see her in cosplay. Her costume has the classic elements that define Sailor Moon, otherwise known as Usagi Tsukino, including a white top with a navy blue collar, a pleated navy blue skirt, and a red bow, with a more modern take on the hair.
Tsukino is known for her two Rapunzel-esque pigtails with thick bangs that curl inwards. Hairstylist Kellon Deryck kept the signature pigtails but opted for a half up, half down look on a neck-grazing bob instead. He created a zig-zag middle part that reaches the crown of her head and twisted her hair into two topknots with curly tufts of hair peeking out. Deryck curled the rest of Meg’s short hair for a textured look. As for the swooped bangs, he kept it simple with two smaller pieces of hair curled inward on her forehead. The slicked baby hairs along her hairline are the perfect finishing touch.
