According to our calculations, it has been well over six years since Reese Witherspoon has cut bangs. She grew them out over the course of 2017, and from the looks of it, she’d put the style behind her. But even though he signature look is a perfect one for her, we often reminisce about some of her best bang-centric styles of the past — remember her flawless, standard-setting 2007 Golden Globes fringe? And it seems she, too, was itching to revisit a time when her forehead was less naked.

Witherspoon posted a photo carousel to her Instagram grid in which she’s seen enjoying a Mother’s Day lunch with her sons, Deacon and Tennessee, and her mother, Betty Reese. In the first and third photo, it’s apparent that the actor and entrepreneur recently answered the eternal question, “Should I get bangs?” with a resounding yes. 

Wearing an extremely cute smocked, pink, floral-print dress (by her brand, Draper James, of course), Witherspoon’s look is topped off with classic, wispy bangs that ever so slightly cover her brows and are slightly heavier to one side thanks to a side part.
